   I use the scallion box for partially used cucumber, avacado, lemon, garlic, etc. I put one tablespoon of water in the outer box then place remaining fruit/veggies in the mesh baskets. These do not touch the water. Then it is kept in the refrigerator where the cooler temp and moisture keep them from drying out.
