I have never used such a thingamajigger before. With 8 fruit trees on the property I knew I wanted a way to process the fruit as fast as possible and I hate peeling my hand. The thing didn’t just peel it, it cored it too. When I was done my pears were ready to go in the jars for canning. The ease and how quick it worked was amazing. Also, it is a very sturdy made device. This Apple peeler does a pretty fantastic job! However, I don’t love that it is challenging to clean. The blades are very sharp and you need to be very careful when trying to wash all the nooks and crannies. In addition, the suction works really well, but you need to be careful not to pull or press too hard on it. Overall, a pretty decent peeler for the money and it made canning season a lot easier for me :) just be aware of those two things!

This apple peeler is the cat’s meow. We used it first time to can some apples today, made it virtually effortless compared to hand peeling with a knife. Many times faster with much less waste and the apples are much more uniform in shape. Peeled the apples in mere minutes instead of hours.
